As school closes for the year, medications provided to the school clinic for a student must be picked up by the student’s parent. All medications must be available for your student’s use as needed through the last day of school, June 12. From June 12-18, all student medications including over the counter medications must be picked up at the school between 8 am and 4 pm daily.
To pick up your student’s medications, come to the school office and ask a staff member for assistance. Please be patient to assure all medications belonging to your student are returned to you. After June 18, all left-over medications will be packed and turned over to the Chesterfield County Police for proper disposal. Once medications are packed for police collection, they can not be retrieved so it is important you pick up your medications on time. There can be no “late” pick-ups permitted and no medications can be stored at the school over the summer.
Please note: all medications must be picked up even if your student will be attending summer school. Parents of summer school students will have to provide medication for your student to the summer school coordinator at the beginning of the summer session. Additionally, student medication must be provided to the clinic at the beginning of the 2015-16 school year. Information about prescription drop off for next school year will be shared in the fall.
