The Chesterfield County Public Schools Internet Safety program began in elementary schools during the 2007-2008 school year and secondary schools in the school year 2008-2009.
The Instructional Technology Department provides professional development for all school employees, through quality training and courses, to equip them with 21st Century technology skills to be effective leaders in a digital society.
Science, technology, engineering and math were the focus of Chesterfield’s first STEM Fair, which took place at the Science Museum of Virginia. Elementary, middle and high school students competed in STEM Olympics and minute-to-win-it events that required teamwork, problem solving and high-level thinking.
