Adults are going back to class, too

adult ed classesChildren are not the only ones getting ready for the first day of class. Adults are also prepping for classes that begin soon. Through the Adult Continuing Education Office, Chesterfield County Public Schools offers many opportunities for lifelong learning:

  • Workforce training helps prepare residents for jobs. These classes fill quickly, but a few spaces remain in nurse aide, medical assistant, building trades and landscaping.
  • Enrichment classes cover a variety of topics, including sewing, financial planning, carpentry, sign language, golf, computers, photography, yoga and world languages.
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages classes are offered in a variety of locations at many different times; online instruction is also available.
  • GED® classes and tests help people achieve the equivalent of a high school diploma.
