Applying for Employment Vacancies

  • In order to apply for employment vacancies with CCPS, an on-line application is required.
  • Applications are accepted for announced vacancies only, and must be submitted by the announcement closing date and time.

Employment Consideration

Applicants considered for employment must successfully complete the following background investigations:

  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal History Investigation
  • State Police Criminal History Investigation
  • Child Protective Services (CPS) Investigation
  • Department of Motor Vehicles Record Check (for positions requiring driving)
  • Drug test and physical (Bus Driver positions)
  • Tuberculosis Screening/Test

Computer Access  

Access to computers and staff assistance is available Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the School Board Central Office, located at 9900 Krause Road.

From North of Richmond/North of the James River

  • Take 95 South to exit 62 (288 North)
  • Take Exit 10 East (Chesterfield)
  • Go to the 4th stop light and make a left onto Krause Road
  • Turn into the 1st building parking lot on the left.

From Northwest (Charlottesville)

  • Take 64 East
  • Take Exit 62 (288 South)
  • Take Exit 10 East (Chesterfield)
  • Go to the 4th stop light, make a left onto Krause Road
  • Turn into the 1st building parking lot on the left.

From Petersburg

  • Take 95 North
  • Take Exit 62 (288 North)
  • Take Exit 10 East (Chesterfield)
  • Go to the 4th stop light and make a left onto Krause Road
  • Turn into the 1st building parking lot on the left.

From South (West of Richmond)

  • Take Rte. 360 East or Rte. 460 East to 95 North
  • Take Exit 62 (288 North)

From East Coast/Tidewater Area

  • Take 64 West
  • Take 60 West
