Brig. Gen. Allan Day will be speaking to staff and students at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 3 at Chesterfield Career and Technical Center at Hull, 13900 Hull Street Road. Brig. Gen. Day is the commander of Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, a field activity of the Defense Logistics Agency.
This visit is a partnership between the Chesterfield County Public Schools Global Logistics and Enterprise Systems program and the Defense Logistics Agency. Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is the aviation demand and supply chain manager for Defense Logistics Agency with more than 3,500 civilian and military personnel. The organization supports more than 1,800 weapon systems and is the U.S. military’s integrated materiel manager for more than 1.1 million national stock number items, industrial retail supply and depot-level repairable acquisitions. Brig. Gen. Day oversees an aviation demand chain responsible for more than $3.8 billion in annual sales.
Brig. Gen. Day was commissioned in 1989 from the U.S. Air Force. He has held key maintenance leadership positions at the wing, major command and air staff levels. Prior to his current position, he was the associate director of resource integration, deputy chief of staff for logistics, installations and mission support at the headquarters of the U.S. Air Force in Washington, D.C.
