Chesterfield schools earn Active RVA certification

When Sports Backers announced which central Virginia schools earned Active RVA certification this year, Chesterfield County Public Schools had more sites on the list than any other local school system: 28.

These 28 schools were honored for implementing innovative programs to promote physical activity and for serving as wellness role models for the community. In addition to recognizing schools, Sports Backers also recognized employers for promoting physical activity and Chesterfield County Public Schools and Chesterfield County government earned Active RVA certification in that category.

Here are Chesterfield County’s 15 elementary schools, 10 middle schools and three high schools that achieved Active RVA certification this year:
