WHAT: The Chesterfield County School Board will hold a special community meeting for the Matoaca district to update residents on proposals for the future of Matoaca Elementary and Matoaca Middle schools.
In November 2013, Chesterfield voters overwhelmingly approved a bond referendum that will renovate and/or replace older school facilities in the county. The projects include the renovation of seven elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school and the construction of a new elementary school. Part of this bond referendum included the construction of a replacement Matoaca Elementary School. This meeting will give residents an update on the proposed site for the new replacement Matoaca Elementary and how the new plan will affect Matoaca Middle School.
