I made it to two shining examples of academic excellence earlier this week. I stopped in to visit Beulah and Bensley elementary schools, both of whom have earned recognition as National Title I Distinguished Schools. At Beulah, I learned how their garden is helping provide real-life learning experiences for summer school students. At Bensley, I learned the principal’s three principles and met one of my former students working at the school! I also reconnected with a teacher I hired as a principal who transferred to Chesterfield County last year. Our schools, no matter where they are located, are doing great things! I’m looking forward to visiting more schools in the coming days.
