Tutorials offered so parents can learn how to help children using DreamBox interactive math tool

Chesterfield County parents interested in learning more about DreamBox and how to support their children as they use this interactive math tool are invited to attend one of the tutorials being offered Sept. 23-24.

In collaboration with the Chesterfield County Public Library, the school division’s Mathematics Department will host several sessions to provide information to parents who have children in elementary school and to help them set up DreamBox accounts:

  • 12:30-1:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at Central Library, 9501 Lori Road
  • 12:30-1:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at Midlothian Library, 521 Coalfield Road
  • 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at Bon Air Library, 9103 Rattlesnake Road
  • 6:30-7:30 p.m. Sept. 24 at LaPrade Library, 9000 Hull Street Road

The tutorials are free; registration is not required.

DreamBox Learning is an online computer math program that adapts to meet each student’s educational needs in an engaging learning environment. DreamBox Learning constantly assesses students while they are working; with each click of the mouse, the program assesses response time, accuracy of responses, complexity of strategies and more.
