On December 7th & 8th Vincent Talbot, a coding team supervisor for Capitol One, is supporting Mr. Mathews and Mr. Brown’s class for an Hour of Code activity.
Mr. Talbot will be writing a computer code with the students using Arduino IDE software which will be flashed to microcomputers to simulate technology used in vehicle collision avoidance systems.
The students will work with Mr. Talbot to write the code for the programming and wire the microcomputers and motion sensors. At this point the microcomputers will be flashed with the program and the students will be able to see their code actually work to warn the driver (buzzer) and apply the brakes (LED light).
A special thank you to Mr. Talbot and Capitol One!
