Chesterfield County Public Schools hosting recruitment event for teachers in critical need areas

Chesterfield County Public Schools is searching for educators with a strong academic background and a passion for preparing students for success. For the 2018-19 school year, Chesterfield County Public Schools anticipates openings in several critical needs areas.

Highly qualified candidates seeking employment as teachers of special education, English as a Second Language, secondary mathematics, secondary science, world languages, career and technical education and family and consumer science are encouraged to apply to be interviewed during a March 16 recruitment event. To be considered for an interview, candidates must apply by March 2 by going to and clicking on “2018 Critical Needs Teacher Recruitment Event.” Because many applications are expected, interviews will be by invitation only.

While Chesterfield County Public Schools expects to have open positions in all content areas for 2018-19, the March recruitment event is only for educators in the critical needs areas previously identified. Open positions in all content areas are posted at
