Chesterfield County School Board’s School Health Advisory Board meeting

Team Chesterfield families:

Are you interested in learning more about the supports in place to address concerning student behaviors, programs in place to identify and address mental health concerns, and efforts to provide a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment in our schools?

Then plan to come to the March 26 meeting of the Chesterfield County School Board’s School Health Advisory Board meeting. The meeting, which starts at 6 p.m. in the Fulghum Conference Center at the Career and Technical Center @ Hull, will spotlight the school division’s many prevention and intervention supports.

Topics include:

  • Mental health prevention and intervention
  • Social emotional learning
  • Positive Behaviors and Intervention Supports/Trauma-informed care
  • Restorative practices
  • Signs of Suicide and threat assessments
  • School safety

The meeting is free to attend, but registration is encouraged. You can register here.

There will be a formal public comment session at the end of our meeting. Limited speaking spots are available; there are five opportunities to speak with three minutes allotted to each speaker. To sign up to speak during our public comment session at the SHAB meeting please email by 2 p.m. on March 26. Please include your name and the topic you would like to share during the public comment presentation. Please also include that this public comment is for the School Health Advisory Board meeting.

There will also be a reserved time for a question-and-answer period, which will allow more time for conversation and questions in addition to the public comment.
