Personnel Department

The mission of the Personnel Department is to hire and retain, at all levels, the most highly qualified and competent employees who represent positive role models for an increasingly diverse student population; who meet the high expectations of the school district; and who strive to be lifelong learners. The mission will be accomplished through vigorous recruitment, support and retention efforts, including effective orientation, guidance, training and professional growth opportunities.

Part-Time Teachers Wanted

The GED and ESOL programs need part-time teachers who are available to teach 6:30-8:30 p.m. twice a week. A bachelor’s degree is required; teaching certification or adult education certification is preferred. The pay is $21.84 per hour.

Also, adults who would like to share their expertise, skills or talents with other adults are encouraged to apply to teach workforce or enrichment classes.

 

STEM

Science, technology, engineering and math were the focus of Chesterfield’s first STEM Fair, which took place at the Science Museum of Virginia. Elementary, middle and high school students competed in STEM Olympics and minute-to-win-it events that required teamwork, problem solving and high-level thinking.
