Dear parent or guardian:
As we make slow gains toward economic recovery, Chesterfield County Public Schools remains committed to pursuing a variety of potential funding sources to support our work of preparing students for success in the 21st century.
Impact Aid is a national funding program designed to help local school divisions financially burdened by federal activities: for example, localities that lose property tax revenue from taxexempt federal property or that have large numbers of students whose parents work on federal property. Impact Aid becomes part of the school system’s general operating budget and supports instruction for all students. More information and digital versions of the survey in English and Spanish are available online at mychesterfieldschools.com.
You can continue to support our students, staff members and schools by completing this survey, which is part of an annual process to receive federal Impact Aid. All parents – even if you are not in the military or not employed on federal property – are asked to complete and return this survey by Nov. 20. All information is confidential.
Please note that not all federal employees work on property that is owned by the federal government. (For example, post offices are not federal property.) A short list of nearby federal facilities is shown on the survey. If you work at a federal site not listed or if you are not sure whether your place of employment is on federal property, please give the name and full address of your employer.
Thank you for your continuing support of Chesterfield County Public Schools.
Sincerely,
Marcus J. Newsome, Ed.D.
Superintendent
