Principal: Melanie Knowles

Melanie Knowles is proud to serve as principal of Bailey Bridge Middle School.  Mrs. Knowles grew up in Chesterfield County and graduated from Manchester High School.  She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia, a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Virginia State University, and has 25 years of experience in education.  Prior to becoming principal at Bailey Bridge, she served as a Spanish teacher and assistant principal at Hopewell High School, assistant principal at Carver Middle School, and principal at Falling Creek Middle School.  Mrs. Knowles is overjoyed to serve the Bailey Bridge Middle School students, staff, and families and is proud to be part of such a strong, dedicated, and caring school community.

Associate Principal: Dr. Kristen Weidle

Dr. Kristen Weidle graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts in Teaching and moved to Virginia to begin her 15 year career in education. In Spotsylvania County, she served as a 7th grade social studies teacher, a middle school instructional coordinator, and a K-12 instructional coach. Most recently, she has spent the last three years as an assistant principal at Caroline High School. Dr. Weidle has earned a Masters in Education in Teaching from George Mason University, a Masters in Education in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education, and an Educational Doctorate in Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Assistant Principal: Robin Woodfolk

Robin Woodfolk is a Virginia native and proud graduate of Charlottesville High School! She obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English from James Madison University, and a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University. This year marks Ms. Woodfolk’s 13th year in education, having served in a variety of roles working with diverse student populations on the elementary through post-secondary levels. Most recently, she has spent the last seven years as an English teacher and program coordinator in Henrico County. Ms. Woodfolk is quite excited to continue her next adventure in education – in service of the students, families, teachers, and staff at Bailey Bridge Middle School for the 2020-21 school year!

Assistant Principal: Lesley Jones

Lesley Jones graduated from Longwood College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education NK-8 and earned her Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2019. Mrs. Jones has spent 19 years in the middle school setting where she taught Social Studies. Mrs. Jones enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons and two dogs.
