Dr. Christina Allen-Roach - Principal

WHALEcome to Beulah Elementary School, home of the Whales!   I am so very proud and honored to serve as the principal of this incredible school.  Beulah Elementary is a true school family where faculty, parents, and community collaboratively support each other for the overall educational success of our students.

Beulah students display a strong work ethic and rise to meet the high expectations of faculty and parents.  Our faculty is highly trained and skilled to meet every student’s needs and ensure academic, physical, and social-emotional growth and success.  We are proud to have an active PTA and community partners that give their time, energy, and gifts to support and nurture our students and faculty.

Our school is fully accredited by VDOE standards, and we know it is through the great work of all Beulah stakeholders that our children are academically thriving.  We believe wholeheartedly in our school theme, “All Hands on Deck!”  Our students benefit the most from having all stakeholders engage in supporting all of their needs, from educational to physical to social-emotional.  It takes all hands on deck to accomplish the main goal of growing our students to reach their maximum potential.

This past school year, we transitioned into our new school building, and it is a gorgeous learning environment.  We ended our first year in our new building with the creation of our time capsule that is located in our main lobby and will be opened in 2043, after 25 years in the building.

This year, 2019-2020, our school staff will fully implement a social-emotional learning program, Caring Schools Community. We piloted the program this past year and created opportunities for other staff to observe the program. The entire staff was trained for the implementation this summer, received their materials, and will be supported through monthly school conversations. There is more information on the program posted under ‘resources’ on our school website.

We continue to offer small group instruction in reading, math, and word study. Students in grades 2-5 have 1:1 chromebook devices and K-1 students will have access to chromebooks throughout the week, too. With the opening of our new school, we were able to create Beulah’s first STEAM lab resource.  It has created so much joy and learning opportunities for students.  We are also very proud of the additional teaching support at Beulah as we secure reading and math interventionists to help provide tiered instruction.

We will continue to focus on employing effective teaching and learning strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students; creating more student leadership opportunities; and building strong partnerships with our stakeholders.

Donald Kyser - Assistant Principal

Hello Beulah Students and Families!

I am Don Kyser and I am excited to be your new Assistant Principal. I have been employed with Chesterfield County Public Schools since 1995. I was a Special Education teacher at Monacan High School and Falling Creek Middle School. I have served as Coordinator of Special Education at Alberta Smith Elementary School as well. I have been an Assistant Principal at O.B. Gates and Greenfield Elementary Schools. I have loved each of these schools. Although they are different, I believe that the guiding principle for all schools is a love of children and a desire to see each child succeed.

I earned my bachelor’s degree at Clarion University in Pennsylvania and my master’s degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. My wife, Elizabeth, is the School Librarian at Ettrick Elementary School. My oldest daughter, Emily, attends James Madison University and my younger daughter, Meredith, is a sophomore at Monacan High School.

I look forward to a great year at Beulah! Feel free to contact me if I can help in any way. You may call me at 743-3620 or email me at

Assistant Principal poses with young female student

Dear Beulah Families and Community,

My name is Gilbani Feliciano, and it is with great excitement that I introduce myself as an Assistant Principal of Beulah Elementary School. I am very humbled and honored to join this beautiful community, which is known for its dedication to excellence, but more importantly, to children. By the side of my Beulah family, I will continue working for the best interest of our students.

After moving to the United States from my native country, Puerto Rico, I have had the opportunity to continue my development as an educator and school leader in Chesterfield County Public Schools. I joined the CCPS family as a Spanish teacher at Alberta Smith Elementary School, where I taught for 11 years.  Last year, I obtained my first administrative position as the Dean of Students at Elizabeth Davis Middle School.

I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico in 2006 and completed a Spanish as a Foreign Language Endorsement from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2008. I recently graduated from the University of Virginia with a Masters in Administration and Supervision.

My vision is to increase equity for all students, provide authentic learning experiences, and build strong relationships with students, families, and the community. I firmly believe that with the cooperation between home and school, we can build trust and self-esteem in our students. With my goal of continuing the culture of excellence here at Beulah, I am devoted to continually exploring new ideas to interact with parents and the community.

I am eager to see you all and hope that you are as excited as I am for this upcoming school year. I am so thankful to have the opportunity to bring all that I have experienced and learned with me to the beautiful Beulah community. Please feel free to contact me if I may ever be of assistance to you. You may call me at (804) 743-3620 or email me at
