Here is a special message from Ms. Pilgrim…

My name is Ms. Lauren Pilgrim. I’ve been in the educational field for 28 years. In those 28 years, this is my 3rd time being honored as
Teacher of the Year! I’ve taught PK-2nd grades. I have 10 years experience as a Literacy Coach where I trained teachers, and I was a
Director at a childcare learning center for 3 years while living in GA. The 2019-2020 school year will be my 6th year teaching in
Chesterfield County Public Schools.

I’m originally from Richmond, where I attended and graduated from Richmond City Public Schools. I earned my B.S.degree in Early
Childhood/Elementary Education from Virginia Union University (go Panthers!). I am also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

I love listening to music and travelling (especially to the beach). I enjoy watching and attending sports games, attending concerts,
visiting museums and cooking. I have been blessed to go on two mission trips out of the country to: Brazil and India. My favorite colors are red and purple.

I am truly blessed with two of the most wonderful children — Shannon and Michael. I also have the best pet, Shica — a Silky Yorkshire

Teaching is my passion and my calling. I absolutely love helping young learners develop and build a strong educational foundation!
