Mrs. Rudd

On behalf of the entire Bellwood Elementary faculty and staff, we want to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year. We hope that you have had an enjoyable, restful summer and are ready for a great school year!

I am proud to serve as the Principal of Bellwood Elementary and have looked forward to seeing our students and staff members each day for the past five years.

Prior to becoming Principal, I was the Assistant Principal for two years at Bellwood Elementary. I also assisted and coordinated the opening of Elizabeth Scott Elementary as its Assistant Principal and was the Assistant Principal at Spring Run Elementary for the prior two years. I have had seven years of teaching experience in Chesterfield County. I am proud to be a product of Chesterfield County Public Schools myself. I am a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology, Masters of Teaching, and Post-Masters in Administration and Supervision.

I am looking forward to a successful year working with our Bellwood community, staff, teachers and families in inspiring our students to become lifelong learners who make positive contributions to society in our ever changing world!

I am very excited to be a part of the Bellwood Bulldog family!
I am coming from Henrico County Public Schools with 12 years of teaching experience. The last two years I was the Coordinator of Assessment and Remediation at Hungary Creek Middle School. I am a graduate of Chesterfield County Public Schools and I am very happy to be returning to Chesterfield. I received a Bachelor of Science and a Masters in Administration and Supervision degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.

As a parent of two children, I value public school education. The staff and I at Bellwood are committed to forming a strong academic foundation as well as a safe and nurturing environment for all students to shape their academic success. It is important for our students to receive innovative, engaging and relevant instruction as 21st century learners.
