Our Philosophy
It is our philosophy, in the Carver College and Career Academy Counseling Department, that all students have equal access to a comprehensive school counseling program, and that this program serves as an integral piece of the overall educational experience. The Carver College and Career Academy Counseling Department believes that individualized educational, career, and personal/social goals can be established and achieved by every Carver College and Career Academy student. Essential to our philosophy is the belief that collaboration between school counselors, educators, and parents will ensure that the needs and goals of every student are addressed so that each student can achieve success.
Counselors can help students with:
- academic planning and education progress.
- concerns that interfere with learning
- ability to cope with pressures
- test results and what they mean
- various school programs and community opportunities
- college planning and technical training beyond high school.
