Staying the Course

A virtual opportunity for students to reinvestigate content and build skills in a previously taken course in order to fill any gaps and /or better prepare for subsequent courses.

ACCELERATE REGISTRATION DATES

OPENS – Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 9:00 a.m.

CLOSES – Friday, April 29, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.

ACCELERATE COURSE FEES

Students are permitted to take up to two accelerated courses during the summer session.

Please note that fees are reviewed annually and are subject to change.

Full Credit (Year) Class for residents: $325
Half Credit (Semester) Class for residents: $165
Full Credit (Year) Class for non-residents: $575
Half Credit (Semester) Class for non-residents: $325

CLASS LENGTH

Summer – June 20th – July 28th
4-6 hours per day, per class.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Credit card payments are accepted at the CCPSOnline payments page, accessible on the Registration page on the right, through the Chesterfield County Public Schools Administrative Offices Online School Payments (OSP) portal. A processing fee applies to online payments. No processing fee applies to in-person payments made at your home school. Please contact your home school to find out the times during which they are receiving fee payment.

Payment for courses is due by June 1st. If payment is not received, the application will be removed from consideration.

REFUNDS

Refund requests are to be made via e-mail to [email protected] and will require administrative approval.

The refund form must be completed by July 5th.

APPLICATION PROCESS

  • Family completes the application using the link on this page
  • Family completes the payment form linked on this page
  • Student’s counselor verifies the course request 
  • CCPSOnline notifies the student of acceptance and completes the enrollment

Staying The Course

What is “Staying the Course”?
Staying the Course is a virtual opportunity for students to reinvestigate content and build skills in a previously taken course in order to fill any gaps and /or better prepare for subsequent courses.

Who is eligible to participate in Staying the Course?
Any student who has previously taken a course during the 21-22 school year and received a grade of A, B, or C may attend.

Where will Staying the Course take place?
Students can participate in Stay the Course anytime and anywhere. Content will be available between June 27 through July 21, 2022.

Will students receive a grade for Staying the Course?
No

Is there a cost to attend Staying the Course?
No

Signups for this summer offering begin on April 22nd, and will conclude on June 1st.
