The Office of Family and Community Engagement will begin the annual FACE FWD Film Festival later this month.
This presentations will be streamed live (registration is required) and will be followed by a panel discussion and question-and-answer session. Registration links are limited, please use the link on the website to register.
FACE FWD is a film series designed for families and staff. The films Screenagers: The Next Chapter, Chasing Childhood, and High School 911 will be streamed, free of charge for CCPS families and staff. Registration to stream and attend webinars is required.
An additional series, In Focus: Breaking Down Barriers of Bias, will feature panel discussions or conversation opportunities on select films that can be streamed through the Chesterfield County Public Library or home-streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, Knaopy, etc. These films include Akeelah and the Bee, Freedom Writers, Short Term 12 and Precious Knowledge.
The documentaries selected are aligned with the FACE mission and CCPS’s dedication to connect families to information through explorations of cultural competency, as well as social-emotional and adolescent supports. More information can be found on this website.
