Team Chesterfield families,
As you may know, the School Board and Board of Supervisors have approved construction plans for a new elementary school that soon will be built in the Magnolia Green subdivision. The yet-to-be named new school is slated to open in Fall 2022.
The school division will host a community meeting on Jan. 15 to discuss construction plans. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria at Winterpock Elementary.
The new facility, which will be the school division’s 40th elementary school, is expected to relieve overcrowding at Winterpock Elementary. While no redistricting plans have been presented to the School Board yet, some neighborhoods currently attending Grange Hall Elementary could be impacted by the attendance boundary creation as well.
At the Jan. 15 meeting, school division leaders will discuss plans for construction and provide the community with a chance to provide input on the front façade of the school. The prototype design that will be used for construction will be available for review as well. Residents unable to attend the meeting will be able to provide input via mychesterfieldschools.com.
