Bingo, talent nights, talking, walking resident’s dogs, you name it, they WANT our students.
- There is a brief training session for volunteers and a sign in log for whenever the students want to come. A lot of the residents are there with no family locally, some with Alzheimers, and some that just downsized and enjoy talking with any guests that come through.

- Chesterfield Baptist Church Homeless Ministry
Help feed the homeless the first Saturday of EVERY month (holidays, rain or shine!) Students must sign up in advance AND email the coordinator ([email protected]) AND ride with an adult or church sponsored certified driver AND complete the Youth Emergency Form ( Click Here ) You must also sign-up to volunteer. All rising 9th graders coming into the Specialty Center program may request a “Crutch”. This will be a randomly assigned current Specialty Center student who will help assist them with the transition into our program.
All Crutch request forms must be received by the main office before June 1st.
The students that have requested a Crutch for the upcoming school year should receive a call from their assigned Crutch by the end of the current school year.
Throughout the school year, students are invited to a HSSC luncheon. During the luncheon they will be presented with information regarding events and volunteer opportunities for our Specialty Center students.
