The Special Education Department of CE Curtis Elementary School understands and plans for the individualized educational needs of our students with disabilities. Each student’s Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) team meets yearly to determine how to appropriately service the needs of each student with a disability. Services are provided in a multitude of settings and at each grade level including early childhood special education. Our goal is to provide our students with the skills necessary to find success in both school and life.
If you have questions about your student qualifying for special education, including speech/language services, please review the attached pdf documents. The charts show the CCPS process to determine if a student has an educational disability which requires special education services. In addition, the criteria for determining if a student has a Speech Language Impairment is included.
