We will provide options and opportunities to meet the diverse needs and interests of individual students.
It is our mission to ensure that each student receives “A Koala-ty Education”. We are excited about the 2019-20 school year. There are so many things to learn. Our students work hard to adhere to the school system’s core values of Integrity, Equity, Teamwork and Ingenuity. Our school, in partnership with students, families and communities, emphasizes and supports high levels of achievement through a global education for all, with options and opportunities to meet the diverse needs and interests of individual students. We look forward to seeing you.
The C.E. Curtis Elementary School was named in honor of Clarence E. Curtis Sr., former Chairman of Chesterfield County School Board. The original building was built in 1959 and was designed for 600 students, grades first through seventh. Curtis remained basically the same in appearance until the 1984 edition of a modern multi-media center and gym. During the 1989-1990 school year, renovation took place throughout the entire building to provide us with central air conditioning. Our two newest additions of eight new classrooms and an office complex were completed for the opening of the 2002-2003 school year. With this new addition, we now have a total of 44 classrooms, a large office complex, multimedia center, gymnasium, and cafetorium.
