  • Watching sports- VCU Basketball, Penguins Hockey, and of course, my Dallas Cowboys!
  • Jeeps- love improving mine and attending Jeep enthusiasts group meetings!

  • Attending concerts and live shows in Richmond
  • Fishing with my father on the Chesapeake Bay
  • Spending time with my children, ages 18 and 21

Something the students would be surprised to know about me: I am a 18 year cancer survivor. This had a significant impact on my life and career journey. I love to share my story, so please ask if you are interested!

Mrs. Jenny Andrews - Assistant Principal

I am extremely excited to be starting my third year serving here at Curtis Elementary as your Assistant Principal. SERVICE is my ultimate goal as an administrator, and I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with students, families, staff, and the entire Curtis community. I believe every child should be inspired to become a lifelong learner by cultivating his/her unique gifts and talents in a safe and loving environment. We want Curtis to be that place for your student!

Something the students would be surprised to know about me:

I originally worked in business at Reynolds Metals Company as a computer programmer analyst for 12 years. When I began thinking about becoming a teacher, I went to Ms. Pereira’s school and watched her teach 1st graders for the day. That’s when I realized students and families make my heart happy!
