The SAT academies are open to rising freshmen through rising seniors attending Chesterfield County Public Schools who wish to prepare for college entrance exams. This program is geared toward rising juniors and seniors.
The Academy is free! Students may register at no cost for any of the four weeks of SAT preparation and will have three choices: (1) an intensive Math preparation course, (2) an intensive Reading/Writing preparation course, or (3) a hybrid 2 day Math and 2 day Reading/Writing preparation course. Courses run Monday through Thursday and there are three options for location: Clover Hill High School, Bird High School, or a virtual synchronous session.
The first session is on the Northern end of the county and will be held at Clover Hill High School. It runs June 27th to July 7th, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. with a holiday on July 4th.
The second session is on the Southern end of the county and will be held at Bird High School. It runs July 11th to July 21st, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The alternative option is to pick a week for the virtual session that will run June 27th to July 21st, 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. As with any academy, daily attendance in the virtual session is mandatory. This is not an asynchronous course.
