After a successful year of providing virtual learning across Chesterfield County, the School Board approved the transition of the Virtual Learning Academy to the Chesterfield Virtual School. This transition ensures the longevity of a synchronous, virtual learning option for students across Chesterfield County in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Our students are provided the opportunity to learn with teachers from across the country and students from all of Chesterfield County. This creates a powerful and unique tapestry of diversity that is unlike many others.

Over the 2021-2022 school year, we focused on staffing and designing the school. This year we are focused on enhancing the virtual experience and working with parents to build a virtual community of learners.

I am excited to continue this journey with you as we work to build a school like no other, a school that goes beyond the four walls.
