Special Education

The Exceptional Education Department at Crestwood Elementary School provides services to students with Autism, Developmental Delays, Emotional Disabilities, Mild Intellectual Disabilities, Other Health Impairments, Specific Learning Disabilities, and Speech-Language Impairments. Our goal is to provide an inspiring, dynamic educational environment which ensures that all children will acquire the knowledge, skills, and core values necessary to achieve personal success. While striving to give each student access to the general curriculum, we collaborate with general education staff to provide a continuum of services and specialized instruction that address each child’s identified, individual needs. We adhere to research-based best practices that are aligned with the Chesterfield County Public Schools Vision and Design for Excellence and our expectation is that all students will gain 21st century knowledge and skills.
