Congratulations Dylan Pearman-Hurt, 2023 Teacher of the Year
As a fifth grade teacher, Dylan Pearman-Hurt crafts lessons that engage all students. Her innovative teaching has involved transforming fifth grade classrooms into a dinosaur timeline, creating a Crestwood café to learn about decimals and transforming the woods near our school into a voyage to Mexico. Her work creating and leading our equity team shaped us all to view each action we take through an equity lens. She inspires us to be better humans.
Congratulations Matt Coyle, 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year
Matt Coyle joined Crestwood as our new music teacher just a few weeks before the pandemic hit. In the time since then, Mr. Coyle has become one of our students’ favorite resource teachers. Last year, along with our fifth grade students, he wrote a new school song and made a music video of our students performing. He can often be heard in the hallways playing different instruments to bring the beauty of music alive in our building. He models a joy of all different types of music each day and uses his many talents to enrich all of our lives.
