2020 – 2021 Athletics

After much consideration, Winter Sports (Boys’ Basketball and Cheerleading) will be postponed until after Winter Break. The Middle School Athletic Council will continue to review data and make recommendations that align with current procedures and protocols that must be followed. We will continue to provide updates as we return from Winter Break in January. Please reach out to our Athletic Director if you have any questions.

Playing on a school athletic team provides important lessons that will carry your student through many aspects of their lives from making friends to becoming a leader in school and beyond.  Your student will learn the value of good sportsmanship, the success of good teamwork, the art of both winning and loosing gracefully and so much more.  They will gain self-confidence, understand accountability and the outcome of discipline and dedication. Maybe the most important lesson of all, the feeling of pride, school spirit and the lifelong connection to their school and their peers.

We encourage all students to tryout for a team. If they don’t make it the first year, we urge them to try and try again!

Documents & Forms

In order to participate in athletics, either via trying out or as part of the team, all students must have a completed VHSL Athletic Participation/Physical Examination Form and a signed Concussion Awareness Information Sheet. The sports physical must be performed after May 1, of the year you are trying out. Students will not be able to tryout or participate unless both are completed. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Please contact the Athletic Director if you have any questions.
