Message from the Principal

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I am honored to continue to lead and serve in a school with such a rich history of family tradition and academic excellence. On behalf of the faculty and staff, I say “thank you” for entrusting us with your children. We take our work very seriously and have prepared for a new year of great learning.

As your principal, it is important to me that each person who enters the doors feels as welcomed and excited to be here as I do. We have added new staff members and new students this year with our recent redistricting and look forward to welcoming all new arrivals into the Enon family. Our theme for this year is Enon Elementary…We All Belong.

This year offers new opportunities to grow and learn. We continue to focus on our Chesterfield County Public Schools Strategic Plan: Imagine Tomorrow. Goal One is All students and staff will embody an Infinite Learner mindset and Goal Two is All students, staff, parents, and community members will exemplify a culture of safety, personal responsibility, and supportive relationships. Our school has recently implemented Caring School Communities which is a curriculum designed to assist students in learning social emotional skills that help foster strong relationships, critical thinking, problem solving skills, and overall positive attitudes which bring about successful citizenship. We continue to follow our PRIDE model with an emphasis on excellence where our students are striving to be the best readers, mathematicians, scientists, historians, artists, musicians, and more each and every day! The caring attitude and hard work of our students and staff is what truly brings life to our school.

As your principal, I wanted to share some information about my background. Prior to my time at Enon, I served as an elementary principal and central office administrator for 10 years in both Virginia and Georgia. I have also spent time as an elementary teacher and media specialist where I taught 2nd and 3rd grade along with K-8 technology lessons. Both of my parents are former teachers and I am originally from the metropolitan Atlanta area earning a BS in Early Childhood Education from Berry College and a Master’s from Georgia State University. In January of 2018, I graduated from the College of William and Mary with a doctorate in K-12 School Administration. My husband and I are the proud parents of two adult children, our daughter lives in the Richmond area and our son lives in northern Virginia.

As we move forward into the 2019-2020 school year, I want you to know that I have an open door policy for families. If you ever have a concern or just want to talk, please let me know and I am happy to meet with you or give you a call. My email is and you can reach me either at school at 804.530.5720 or through my mobile number at 804.310.9331. I want your child to love coming to Enon and to truly be excited about learning. As your Enon staff, we look forward to creating enriched learning experiences for your child that challenge them to truly “Imagine Tomorrow!” I encourage you to review the student handbook available online and ensure you understand how things work this school year. Should you need a hard copy, please let your child’s teacher know and one will be provided.
