Message from the Principal

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I am honored to continue to lead and serve in a school with such a rich history of family tradition and academic excellence.

On behalf of the faculty and staff, I say “thank you” for entrusting us with your children. We take our work very seriously and have prepared for a new year of great learning. As we continue to live out “neighbor helping neighbor” this fall and then transition to our new building on the hill, we hope you find a warm atmosphere to partner with us in your child’s education.

As your Principal, it is important to me that each person who enters the doors feels as welcomed and excited to be here as I do. This year offers new opportunities to grow and learn. Our school is implementing Caring School Communities which is a curriculum designed to assist students in learning social emotional skills that help foster strong relationships, critical thinking, problem solving skills, and overall positive attitudes which bring about successful citizenship. We continue to follow our PRIDE model with an emphasis on excellence where our students are striving to be the best readers, mathematicians, scientists, historians, artists, musicians, and more each and every day! The caring attitude and hard work of our students and staff is what truly brings life to our school. We look forward to enriched learning experiences that challenge each of us to truly “Make the Day Matter.”  Again welcome to “the best kept secret in Chesterfield County”
