At Falling Creek Elementary a continuum of services is provided to meet individual needs. Both general education and exceptional education teachers work with parents to develop and implement IEPs (Individual Education Plans) that support the learning needs of students with disabilities.
Falling Creek Elementary provides special education services to a variety of students with different disabilities in both special education classrooms and in the general education setting. Students are supported in the general education setting utilizing both collaborative teaching, where both a general education and special education teacher work together to provide instruction with the whole class and through small group instruction.
Students who are found eligible receive services from our Speech and Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist as well. We work closely with the Assistive Technology department to improve access to communication and learning for all students in exceptional education.
