Cold and flu season tips #

Cold and flu season is upon us. Here are some quick reminders:

  • Cover coughs and sneezes.
  • Wash hands often with soap and water; use an alcohol-based hand cleaner if soap and water are not available.
  • If a fever is present, stay home until fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication.
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Read the current student COVID-19 FAQ here. If a student tests positive for COVID, contact your school nurse immediately.

Report fraud, waste and abuse using anonymous hotline #

Chesterfield County residents and employees are encouraged to report wrongdoing involving fraud, waste and abuse of Chesterfield government and school assets or resources. Examples of violations include:

  • Falsification of records
  • Serious abuse or excessive use of time
  • Theft of funds

The hotline (804-318-8000) can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and callers can remain anonymous as caller ID and call-back features have been disabled to maintain confidentiality. Visit the reporting fraud, waste and abuse website for more information.
