Chesterfield County Public Schools hosted two in-person opportunities for families of students with disabilities. One on September 9, 2020, at CTC @ Hull and another on September 10, 2020, at Thomas Dale High School.
Tammy Burns from the Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC) was the keynote speaker. The Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center builds positive futures for Virginia’s children by working collaboratively with families, schools and communities in order to improve opportunities for excellence in education and success in school and community life. Their special focus is children with disabilities.
If you were unable to attend these sessions and want to learn more about navigating virtual learning with students who have IEPSs, you can watch this recording to see Tammy Burns’ presentation.
