Chesterfield County Public Schools

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year

Chesterfield County Public Schools is committed to providing students with a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment. We strongly encourage all students to return to face-to-face instruction. There are many benefits to having students in school: from academic, social, emotional and mental health viewpoints. We encourage parents to talk to their child’s school about these benefits.

COVID-19 guidance for schools continues to evolve, and the school system will continue to keep families informed via email, phone calls and online information.

Go to for the latest COVID-19 procedures in Chesterfield schools. In addition to face-to-face instruction for 2021-22, Chesterfield County Public Schools offers online options for families who have concerns about in-person learning:

  • CCPS Virtual Academy for grades K-8 (full-time online instruction that follows the school system’s traditional calendar; students will work with licensed teachers who may not be associated with their home school)
  • CCPSOnline for grades 6-12 (full-time online instruction built for flexibility for middle school and high school credit courses)

We have a video about learning models: It’s also available in Spanish:
