As principal of Gordon Elementary School, I would like to welcome you. At Gordon, we always work to make all decisions with the mindset of what is best for kids. We work hard to provide engaging and innovative experiences for every student. Students deserve to have their voices heard and valued.
A bit about me: After graduating from Longwood University, my educational career began in Henrico County where I served as a second, third and fourth grade teacher for six years. During this time I earned my M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University. Next, I moved into the role of Resource Teacher for two years before relocating with my family for a brief stint in Northern VA working as a third grade teacher for Alexandria City. Fortunately, we were brought back to Richmond and I returned to Henrico County as an Associate Principal for three years. I was able to return to Chesterfield and serve as the Assistant Principal at Winterpock Elementary for one year before receiving the greatest opportunity ever, principal at Gordon Elementary! This will be my 6th year at Gordon.
I grew up in Midlothian, graduating from Clover Hill High School. My husband Matt, my daughter Madison and my son Jackson (both patriots!) and I live in Moseley. As a family we love being outside, going to the beach, reading books, playing games and just enjoying time together.
Please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me at (804) 378.2410 if I can help with anything. At Gordon, we are a family and are always happy to help. Our goal is to always create a safe, positive, welcoming, engaging, and challenging learning environment. I look forward to another wonderful and exciting year at Gordon. Thank you for sharing your children with us each day!
Thank you,
