As principal of Gordon Elementary School, I would like to welcome you. At Gordon, we always work to make all decisions with the mindset of what is best for kids. Our ultimate goal is To Be a Champion for Students. We work hard to provide engaging and innovative experiences for every student. Students deserve to have their voices heard and valued.
A bit about me: After graduating from Longwood University, my educational career began in Henrico County where I served as a second, third and fourth grade teacher for six years. During this time I earned my M.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University. Next, I moved into the role of Resource Teacher for two years before relocating with my family for a brief stint in Northern VA working as a third grade teacher for Alexandria City. Fortunately, we were brought back to Richmond and I returned to Henrico County as an Associate Principal for three years. I was able to return to Chesterfield and serve as the Assistant Principal at Winterpock Elementary before receiving the greatest opportunity ever, principal at Gordon Elementary!
I grew up in Midlothian, graduating from Clover Hill Hight School! My husband Matt, my daughter Madison and my son Jackson (both patriots!) and I live in Moseley. As a family we love being outside, going to the beach, reading books, playing games and just enjoying time together.
Please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me at (804) 378.2410 if I can help with anything. We are a family and are always happy to help. Our goal is to always create a safe, positive, welcoming, engaging, and challenging learning environment. I look forward to another wonderful and exciting year at Gordon. Thank you for sharing your children with us each day!
