Message from the Principal

Greenfield Parents,

In partnership with our families, our goal is to provide the best possible experience for our students.  We believe that relationships are the foundation for great things to happen!  It is essential that we keep the lines of communication open between school and home.

Our school focus continues to be student growth. In an effort to meet all of our students’ needs, we have implemented numerous frameworks: K-2 bridge framework, K-5 30 minute IE Block, and most recently, our school wide house system, allowing opportunities for collaboration across grade levels.  Your child will be sorted into Fire, Ice, Sea, Sky or Space Houses at the beginning of the year or when they register at Greenfield.

At Greenfield Elementary a Growing Dragon Always ROARS

We are Respectful
We take Ownership for our actions
We have a positive Attitude
We are Responsible
We stay Safe

Wednesday Spotlight: Chesterfield County Public Schools presents inaugural Hall of Fame class

Marian Wright Edelman once said, “Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it.” During the course of 150-plus years, Chesterfield County Public Schools has been served by outstanding people who have devoted their career to just that — improving the lives of children in their community.

Whether it’s teachers, administrators, support staff or community volunteers, our nationally recognized school division has been supported by individuals who have given their time and talents to impact our students’ education in a meaningful way. The Chesterfield County Public Schools Hall of Fame, presented by the Chesterfield Education Foundation and sponsored this year by TowneBank, is a way to recognize and honor memorable educators and community members who have dedicated their time and effort to support students.

Wednesday Spotlight: Chesterfield County School Board approves 2020-21 school year calendars

The Chesterfield County School Board approved the 2020-21 school year calendars during its February business meeting, expressing its appreciation to those who provided feedback and input throughout the calendar adoption process and noting that several changes had been made due to constituents’ voices.

Notable changes from the original draft presented in January include: moving parent-teacher conference day to earlier in November; reinstating Presidents Day as a student/staff holiday; and making the Friday before Spring Break a full-day holiday for students and staff instead of a three-hour early release.
