The Greenfield Elementary Library provides services for both students and teachers. The library is open to students from 9:10 – 3:45. Students are scheduled to come to the library weekly for planned lessons and check out, but with teacher permission, they can visit the library throughout the day.

The mission of the Greenfield Elementary School library program is to empower students to become life long readers and learners who are ethical users and creators of ideas and information.

Library Checkout Policy:

  • Kindergarten – 1st grade: one book
  • Grades 2-4: two books
  • Grade 5: three books

Checkout Schedule: All grade levels are scheduled to come to the library once a week for 45 minutes as part of the school resource schedule. Students may also visit the library during morning check- out from 9:10 am -9:40 am. Students may come to the library at any time during the day with teacher permission.

Library Book Return and Renewal: Library books are due after one week. Students who have not finished reading a book are encouraged to renew it.

Lost or Damaged Books: We do not charge a fine for late books, however, if the book is lost or severely damaged, we charge a replacement fee. Your child cannot check out a new book until the fee is paid.
