Welcome to the Harrowgate Library! Eagles enjoy getting their hands on great books, creating in our Makerspace, and learning valuable library and research skills. We host two book fairs a year to raise money for books and other learning materials. We also have a few Family Library Nights a year to give families the opportunity to enjoy the library “after hours.”

I teach Library to all students once a week for 45 minutes. Students in kindergarten and first grade check out one book at a time, and grades 2-5 may check out two at a time.

Kindergarten students have a library card to teach them book care and management. it is tucked into the back of the book each child checks out, and should be returned each week tucked into the book.

Students may also get a library pass from their classroom teacher and come check out books in the morning, unless it’s the student’s library day. Morning check out is every day 9:00-9:25. If Mrs. DuPuy is absent, morning check out may be cancelled.
Every grade level has a wheeled crate that circulates through each grade level daily so classes can return books the morning of their weekly library day. We often call it “the rolly.”
