Bullying is defined as unwanted, aggressive behavior that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Bullying includes actions such as making threats, spreading rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally, and excluding someone from a group on purpose. Bullying in any form is not tolerated at Harrowgate.
Bullying prevention instruction is provided during Morning Meetings and in class and small group lessons provided by the school counselor. A continuum of services is proved for both identified bullies and victims. Parents and guardians are in integral component of these services and will be notified and involved in all processes.
