Christina Serola – Principal

Hello, I am excited to be the principal at Harrowgate Elementary School and in our brand new building! I love working with the Harrowgate students and families! I am originally from Miami, Florida and moved to Colorado after my family lost our house in Hurricane Andrew. I graduated from Regis University in Colorado Springs and received my masters from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I was fortunate enough to teach in the elementary setting for 8 years before starting my adventure in administration. I was able to spend a year teaching in Genoa, Italy at an International Baccalaureate school, which was a once in a lifetime experience. I enjoy traveling, being with family and friends, and spending time with my rescue dog, Stella!

Melanie Nuckols – Assistant Principal

I am so excited to serve the Eagle Community as the Assistant Principal of Harrowgate Elementary School! After receiving my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Teaching from the University of Virginia, I taught grades ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade in Fredericksburg City Schools. I later became an Elementary Literacy Coach while earning my Reading Specialist and Administration & Supervision endorsements from the University of Mary Washington. Since moving back to my hometown of Chesterfield, I have served as Reading Specialist at J.G. Hening Elementary, Instructional Designer at Spring Run Elementary School, and Assistant Principal at Chesterfield’s Virtual Learning Academy. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my two children. I look forward to partnering with families to ensure a positive educational experience for every student at Harrowgate.
