Kindergartners learn about letters/letter sounds and rhyming words in Language Arts. We also learn how to write letters, words, and sentences in writing. We learn to segment and blend phonemes too.
In Math, we learn how to count to 100 by 1s, 5s, and 10s. We also learn how to tell time to the hour and how to count up to ten cents using pennies and nickels. We learn about fractions, graphing, measurement, and patterns. Kindergarteners also learn how to add and subtract.
In Science, we learn about shadows, earth patterns, colors, shapes, and matter. We learn how to reduce, reuse, and recycle. We also learn about plants and animals. Kindergarteners learn about magnets, life cycles, and weather in Science.
Kindergarteners learn about maps/globes and economics in Social Studies. We also learn about famous Americans and community helpers.
