Message from the Principal

I absolutely love being a member of the Jacobs Road Elementary School family! I am starting my fourteenth year as an elementary school principal, and my third year as principal of Jacobs Road. Overall, I have been an educator for over 24 years. I’ve attended Virginia Tech, George Mason University and Johns Hopkins University, earning a B.S. in Psychology, an M. Ed. in Special Education, and a post-masters in Administration and Supervision. I am currently pursuing my doctorate from Virginia Tech.

My husband, Brad, and I have five children: Maddie (20), Mallory (18), Jack (16), Britt (14) and Maryn (13). Our oldest daughter is at Virginia Tech, the college where I met her dad. We are a huge VT family, and we love our HOKIES! We are hopeful that our daughter Mallory will be able to begin at JMU in the fall, so I can also start cheering “Go Dukes!” When I’m not at work or working on my dissertation, I like to spend time with my family and friends, read a good book, check out a good movie, or watch The Voice!

I truly love my job, and I believe my purpose is to support students, families and teachers. Your children will quickly become my children in my heart! It is a great honor to be trusted by you to take care of your baby! I will always do my best to work hard and partner with you to make sure that Jacobs Road is the BEST place to grow and learn!

Your feedback and opinions matter to me. Please do not ever hesitate to reach out to me. You may call me at 804-674-1320 or email me at [email protected].

We are #JacobsUnited!!!!
