Mrs. Jennifer Lenz- Principal

I absolutely love being a member of the Jacobs Road Elementary School family! I am starting my sixteenth year as an elementary school principal, and my fifth year as principal of Jacobs Road. Overall, I have been an educator for 26 years. I’ve attended Virginia Tech, George Mason University and Johns Hopkins University, earning a B.S. in Psychology, an M. Ed. in Special Education, and a post-masters in Administration and Supervision. I am currently pursuing my doctorate from Virginia Tech.

My husband, Brad, and I have five children: Maddie (22), Mallory (20), Jack (18), Britt (16) and Maryn (16). Our oldest daughter is at Virginia Tech, the college where I met her dad. We are a huge VT family, and we love our HOKIES! Mallory attends JMU so occasionally you can hear me cheering “Go Dukes!” When I’m not at work, I like to spend time with my family and friends, read a good book, check out a good movie, or watch Netflix!

I truly love my job, and I believe my purpose is to support students, families and teachers. Your children will quickly become my children in my heart! It is a great honor to be trusted by you to take care of your baby! I will always do my best to work hard and partner with you to make sure that Jacobs Road is the BEST place to grow and learn!

Your feedback and opinions matter to me. Please do not ever hesitate to reach out to me.

Mr. Joel Eberts- Assistant Principal

I am thrilled to be a member of the Jaguar team in the role of Assistant Principal. I have been an educator in Chesterfield County for the past 21 years. I taught at Falling Creek and Woolridge Elementary and have most recently served as assistant principal at Spring Run Elementary before coming to Jacobs Road.  I attended Wilkes University and earned Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Elementary Education. I received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.

I have twin twelve-year-old boys with my amazing wife, Jen, who is also a Chesterfield teacher. We spend most of our time together outdoors camping, playing sports, and traveling. When I am not busy with my family I can be found coaching, golfing, hunting, or most likely, on the water fishing.

My passion for elementary education allows me to live by the motto “Work hard…Play hard.” Clearly the students, parents and staff have created a fun, effective learning environment. I appreciate the opportunity to be part of this school culture. I bring a strong moral compass that is rooted in doing what is best for students. My goal is to support this community in getting the most out of each and every child.

Open and honest communication is a valuable part of public education, so let me know if I may ever be of assistance.
