Administration

Mrs. Jennifer Lenz- Principal

I absolutely love being a member of the Jacobs Road Elementary School family! I am starting my fourteenth year as an elementary school principal, and my third year as principal of Jacobs Road. Overall, I have been an educator for over 24 years. I’ve attended Virginia Tech, George Mason University and Johns Hopkins University, earning a B.S. in Psychology, an M. Ed. in Special Education, and a post-masters in Administration and Supervision. I am currently pursuing my doctorate from Virginia Tech.

My husband, Brad, and I have five children: Maddie (20), Mallory (18), Jack (16), Britt (14) and Maryn (13). Our oldest daughter is at Virginia Tech, the college where I met her dad. We are a huge VT family, and we love our HOKIES! We are hopeful that our daughter Mallory will be able to begin at JMU in the fall, so I can also start cheering “Go Dukes!” When I’m not at work or working on my dissertation, I like to spend time with my family and friends, read a good book, check out a good movie, or watch The Voice!

I truly love my job, and I believe my purpose is to support students, families and teachers. Your children will quickly become my children in my heart! It is a great honor to be trusted by you to take care of your baby! I will always do my best to work hard and partner with you to make sure that Jacobs Road is the BEST place to grow and learn!

Your feedback and opinions matter to me. Please do not ever hesitate to reach out to me. You may call me at 804-674-1320 or email me at Jennifer_Lenz@ccpsnet.net.

Mr. Joel Eberts- Assistant Principal

I am thrilled to be joining the Jaguar team in the role of Assistant Principal. I have been an educator in Chesterfield County for the past 17 years. I taught at Falling Creek and Woolridge Elementary and have most recently served as assistant principal at Spring Run Elementary. I attended Wilkes University and earned Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Elementary Education. I received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education.

I have twin eight-year-old boys with my amazing wife, Jen, who is also a Chesterfield teacher. We spend most of our time together outdoors camping, playing sports, and traveling. When I am not busy with my family I can be found coaching, golfing, hunting, or most likely, on the water fishing.

My passion for elementary education allows me to live by the motto “Work hard…Play hard.” Clearly the students, parents and staff have created a fun, effective learning environment. I appreciate the opportunity to be part of this school culture. I bring a strong moral compass that is rooted in doing what is best for students. My goal is to support this community in getting the most out of each and every child.

Open and honest communication is a valuable part of public education, so let me know if I may ever be of assistance. You may call me at 804-674-1320 or email me at Joel_Eberts@ccpsnet.net.
