Melanie Jasinkiewicz
Assistant Principal

I am honored to serve for the fourth year as the assistant principal at Matoaca Elementary. I have a Masters in Education from Marymount University and an Education Specialist Degree in Education Leadership and Policy Studies from Virginia Tech. I grew up in Chesterfield and am a product of Chesterfield County Public Schools. I began my teaching career in Henderson, NV before moving back to Chesterfield, where I taught kindergarten and first grade at Hening Elementary and Spring Run Elementary. Then I had the opportunity to return to Hening Elementary as the Title 1 reading teacher for grades K-5.

My husband, Brian, and I live in Chesterfield and just celebrated our first anniversary. I have three children, Brandon 27, Haley 25 and Aaron 23. I have a two year-old granddaughter, Willow, who I love spoiling!! My other baby is a fur baby, Oakley, and she is a Labrador puppy. I love to spend time reading a good book and cheering on the Hokies!!

Please feel free to email me at melanie_jasinkiewicz@ccpsnet.net or call me if I can assist you with anything.

I am really looking forward to working with the students, staff, and families of Matoaca Elementary. It’s going to be a great year!
