Christine Harrold is a phenomenal teacher who believes all children can learn and who will do what it takes to ensure they are successful. She is patient, kind and passionate about the social and emotional needs of her students. Christine demonstrates an ongoing commitment for educating the whole child, and she advocates for their needs, both inside and outside of school. She is an extremely dedicated teacher and teammate who goes above and beyond daily. Matoaca Elementary is better for having her as a teacher.

Brittany Dixon is an exemplary teacher who builds strong relationships with her students and their families. She sees the potential in every student and meets them exactly where they are socially, emotionally and academically. Students love Mrs. Dixon and being in her class. She is extremely innovative and willingly tries new ideas for an engaging learning experience for her students. She shares her knowledge and experiences with her colleagues. Mrs. Dixon is so deserving of the Teacher of the Year honor, and Matoaca Elementary is better for having her as a teacher.
