Greetings, Meadowbrook High School Class of 2021 Families.
This is your principal, Dr. Marcie Terry, with an important graduation update.
In the spirit of celebrating the momentous occasion of graduation together
, I am excited that the Meadowbrook Class of 2021 will graduate at home, inside our Monarch Stadium. Today, I am even more excited to announce our graduation date.
In order to meet guidelines of the current Governor’s Executive Orders, Meadowbrook High School will host three graduation ceremonies on June 7*,
following this schedule:
*Please note that in case of inclement weather, a rain date has been set for June 10. We will communicate as early as possible if there is a need to postpone a graduation ceremony.
As previously shared, each graduate will receive four guest tickets to attend the live graduation ceremony during which students will receive their high school diploma. Students participating in the outdoor graduation ceremony will be socially distanced while seated and will walk across the stage to pick up their diploma. All four guests per graduate will be required to sit together and will be socially distanced from other guests. Due to social distancing requirements, graduates will not be permitted to receive more than four tickets, even if some families do not use all of their allotment. To support COVID-19 mitigation strategies, masks will be worn at all times with physical distancing protocols in place. Sanitation will occur between ceremonies.
At 5 p.m. on May 5, Meadowbrook seniors will have the opportunity to sign up for a graduation time slot utilizing a sign-up genius form. The link will be sent on that date.
Seniors are only permitted to sign up for one-time slot for themselves and their four guests. Once a ceremony reaches maximum capacity (142 graduates), seniors will not be able to sign up for that particular ceremony and will need to select the other time slot.
The sign-up procedure is first-come, first-served. Please select another ceremony (time slot) if your first choice is not available. The sign-up form will close May 21 at 11:59 p.m.
Students who do not wish to participate in the outdoor graduation ceremony will have the opportunity to pick up their diploma from school the week after graduation. During select times, photo opportunities will also be available for these graduates. Please complete
this brief form
if your student does not plan to participate in the graduation ceremony.
While it has been one unique year, I am thrilled that I will have the distinct honor to issue diplomas to the members of the Class of 2021 on our home field surrounded by friends and family!
As always, thank you for your ongoing support of Meadowbrook High School. I look forward to sharing more exciting graduation news with you in the near future.
