Team Overview

The Wrestling Program at MBK strives to guide the athletes to be prepared for life. We work hard to maintain academic, athletic, and personal excellence through our program. Monarch Wrestling emphasizes teamwork and perseverance.

Team Highlights

The MBK Wrestling Team has had 49 District titles won by 35 different athletes, 19 Regional titles, and two State Champions.


Conditioning will be every Monday and Thursday from 3:30 – 4:30 on the track.

PS – conditioning for this season has been cancelled.

Season Information

For the 2020-21 school year, the season will begin on December 14th and will end February 20th.

Tryout Information

There are no tryouts – if you show up willing to work you are on the team.
Workout clothes and Wrestling shoes are required, as well as a completed VHSL physical form dated after May 1, 2020. There are no cuts for wrestling, but everyone wrestling is required to follow the rules of the program.

Tryout Requirements/Team Requirements

A VHSL sports physical form must be submitted on or before the first day of practice. The physical must have taken place after May 1st , 2020. Athletes need to pass five classes per VHSL rules in order to be eligible to play, as well as take five classes (note: Tech classes count as three (3) classes for the ‘Take 5/Pass 5’ rule).
